Montana State Women's Trap League Details
Welcome to Montana Women’s State Trap League! This page is intended to “highlight” the league details for you!
We currently have 12 clubs across the State of Montana participating in this league! Those clubs are Bitterroot Trap Club, Butte Trap Club, Great Falls Trap and Skeet Club, Flathead Clay Targets, Havre Trap Club, Helena Gun Club, Libby Rod and Gun Club, Logan Gun Club, Missoula Trap and Skeet Club, Plains Gun Club, Pondera Gun Club, and Xcel Shooting Sports Event Center.
Women of all ages (11-75 yrs old) participate in their local club’s women’s league, and when they do, they also remotely participate in the MTSWTL.
League dates are April 1st-August 31st of each year, and each club will host their women’s league during this time frame. Each club has its own set of rules, fees, and the number of targets they throw for their shooters, but all clubs and shooters must meet a minimum baseline of criteria to participate in this league.

Each participant will shoot 200 consecutive singles rounds at the 16 yard line. Each shooter will be classed based on their performance.
Class Trophies for this event are as follows:
Class A, Class B, Class C, and Class D
Additional Classes for shooters are also available:
New Shooter for the gal who has never participate in any league before!
Senior Lady is for gals who are 55 plus in age.
Young Lady is for our gals under the age of 18.
And, we love to see moms and daughters playing together so we have a special class for them too!
The Challenge 22 is an optional opportunity for shooters to participate in and only select clubs may offer this portion of the league to their shooters.
This challenge will put all shooters on the 22 yard line and they will shoot 100 consecutive targets.
Shooters from all clubs will be classed by using a Lewis Class Stack Ranking System.
Three trophies will be awarded!
There is also a club challenge portion of this event well clubs will compete against each other to win ammo!

Double Trouble is a new challenge introduced this year to provide the gals a chance to shoot some doubles!
All ladies will shoot 100 rounds of doubles!
When complete these shooters will be stacked ranked and the top 50% of participants will be entered into “Double Trouble”, where they will be paired with another shotgun sister based on a stack ranking system and may the best team be deemed the winners of “Double Trouble”.
This challenge like all others are in alignment with the mission of MTSWTL to inspire, encourage and support women shooters in experiencing the joy of shooting sports.

The 1&5 Challenge!
This challenge gives all shooters a super fun benchmark to strive for!
If a shooter achieves the following criteria they will have the opportunity to win some cashola!
The shooter will need to break five birds on post one AND five birds on post 5 in any one round while participating in the 16 yard lines singles event! So, that is eight chances to get it done! When the shooter achieves this challenge to will qualify to be entered into a Lewis Class Stack Ranking system to win some cash! And, if a shooter attends the season-end shoot they are automatically in the money!
The Flurry Challenge is an exhilarating rapid fire target challenge that promises to get the blood pumping!
All shooters who attend MTSWTL’s Season-end Ceremony and Shotgun Sisterhood Shoot-off will get up to two chances to play this super fun challenge!
They will play one round with their randomly selected team, and each club will pick a team of their shooters to represent their club in the Club Flurry Challenge!
The team that wins the challenge will win up to $1000 in ammo to bring back to the club to be used for the gals next MTSWTL season!
Please note that a club must have a minimum of 3 shooters attending and participating the season-end shoot to participate in this super fun club challenge!
